What is Meditation?
Meditation is a simple yet profound method to improve the quality of our lives. The benefits of meditation include increased positive states of mind, greater contentment and well-being, improved concentration, better relationships and greater physical health. Olympia Mahayana Buddhist Center offers beginner classes as well as in-depth study programs. Our weekly meditation classes provide an introduction to basic Buddhist concepts and how to meditate. The teachers are western students who have a lot of meditation experience. They give step by step instructions on how to begin meditating, how to deepen your experience and how to integrate meditation into daily life. Founded by internationally renowned Buddhist scholar and meditation master Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, the Center offers a warm and welcoming place for those wishing to deepen their experience of Buddhist teachings.
